The City of Conway, Ark., has approved the purchase of compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion systems for eight police vehicles and one new animal welfare department vehicle, according to City documents. The City is purchasing the systems from Crain Automotive for $114,992.

The first CNG station in Conway is set to open in the near future, and natural gas infrastructure company Satterfield Fuels announced it started construction on the facility on July 13.
