Navistar Begins Shipping International TerraStar 4X4

Navistar, Inc. said it has started shipping its first International TerraStar 4x4 units. The company originally launched the International TerraStar in 2010 in a 4x2 configuration. The TerraStar 4x4 is designed for a wide range of applications, including construction, utility, and emergency services.

The vehicle delivers additional commercial duty capability for a wide range of customer needs, including construction, utility, emergency, oilfield and other vocational applications. The TerraStar 4x4 provides frame rail strength of 80,000 psi, according to the company, a commercial-duty Allison Optimized 1000 Series transmission, a Fabco TC-28 gear-driven transfer case, and a 5-year unlimited mile warranty.
