Spartan Chassis worked with Fouts Bros. and PolyBilt to create the new CMP 300, which is a custom pumper truck with a polyprene body and tank, which Spartan said is a first for the emergency response marketplace.

According to Spartan, using this type of construction allows for a number of operational benefits, including larger compartments, greater water carrying capacity, and a lower center of gravity for improved vehicle stability.

Spartan Chassis said the PolyBilt body’s strength and flexibility is designed to reduce shock transferred through the vehicle’s body during a high-speed collision. The vehicle’s body is also heat resistant and the body is less likely to rust, corrode, crack, chip, or peel.
