The Flagler County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office has consolidated its fleet maintenance services with the County’s. According to a statement from the sheriff’s department, the change should result in cost savings and more efficient operations.

“This move will allow us to reduce our costs for overall maintenance of agency vehicles and it will offer expanded hours of operations,” said Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre.

The County’s fleet operations offer more hours of service, including Saturdays. Beyond expanded services hours as a benefit, standardized purchasing of lubricants and other vehicle fluids, replacement parts, and tires will help reduce costs.

The statement added that the three Sheriff’s Office’s employees would be transferred to the County’s fleet maintenance department and would become County employees.
