A new report from the State of West Virginia’s Natural Gas Vehicle Task Force says the State should transition part of its fleet to natural gas and its bus fleet to propane autogas.

In 2012, the State’s Governor Earl Ray Tomblin issued an executive order that established the 21-member commission, which has public- and private-sector members.

The report also recommends that the State increase the amount of tax credit allowed for building natural gas fueling infrastructure to $400,000 and to encourage the private sector to develop a marketing communications strategy to educate the public about the benefits of natural gas vehicles.
