Teaching your drivers to care for their vehicles is crucial, especially officers, who spend much of their career on the road. For an officer, a patrol car serves as their office. At the 2023 Police Fleet Conference (PFC), fleet professionals can learn ways to teach officers about vehicle care.
It's important for law enforcement officers to know best ways to maintain their vehicle, as well as have a good understanding of their vehicle's technology and basic operations. How does the technology inside the vehicle work? When should officers take their car in to be serviced? What are some warning signs that the vehicle needs to be looked at?
Sgt. Tom Gorman of Connecticut State Police has a training program in place to educate officers on their vehicles. In the Knowing Your Police Vehicle session, he'll share details about the program, as well as important topics to include in officer vehicle training.
New in 2023, PFC runs concurrent to GFX. Attendees have a chance to address issues specific to law enforcement fleets, as well as learn solutions for common issues. GFX is being held May 22-25 in Dallas. Register by April 20 for $100 off!
Attendees can register on the GFX website.
