The Air Lift 1000 is Air Lift’s debut product, first released over 70 years ago.
Air Lift 1000 coil spring inserts offer up to 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capability, designed to provide suspension support.
By working with the vehicle’s existing coil-spring suspension, the company said the Air Lift 1000 helps eliminate frequent problems, such as vehicle squat, poor headlight aim, unresponsive steering, trailer sway, body roll, and bottoming out, when towing or hauling by properly supporting the load. The vehicle is returned to a level and stable state, allowing users to tow or haul without a second thought.
“It’s becoming more common that newer vehicles are coming from the factory with softer, more comfortable coil spring suspension, which has its benefits and drawbacks,” said Cody Wolgamott, product marketing manager at Air Lift. “While this type of suspension generally rides better than say a leaf spring style suspension, it’s more prone to squat while loaded down due to the softer nature of the coil springs. The Air Lift 1000 product can help prevent the vehicle from squatting while maintaining a comfortable ride.”
The Air Lift 1000 system is air adjustable from five to 35 PSI, allowing them to be adjusted to the weight of the load. Whether the vehicle is loaded or unloaded, the volume of the air springs will improve the overall ride quality, according to Air Lift.
“People are finding more ways to camp, boat and travel with their everyday transportation," Wolgamott said. “Now, we have a great option for Ford Maverick owners to make towing and hauling safer and more enjoyable for everyone."
Installation requires no drilling or special tools and can be completed with common mechanics tools. A fully illustrated instruction manual providing step-by-step details is included with each kit. For convenient inflation and deflation of the air springs, Air Lift said it offers a variety of on-board air compressor systems, including both wired and wireless systems.
All Air Lift air springs are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, which covers the entire contents of the air spring kit.
