Caterpillar’s 434 backhoe loader features a Cat C3.6 engine that meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards by using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). The system allows the operator to disconnect the machine, even while the diesel exhaust fluid is being purged from the system.

A four-speed powershift transmission is standard, making shifting gears smooth and simple. A load-sensing piston pump provides full hydraulic lifting and digging forces at any engine speed, and variable flow pump matches hydraulic power to work demands.

The backhoe loader features ample legroom inside the cab, making rotating the seat simple. The air suspension seat provides operator comfort.

The machine, with Integrated Tool Carrier (IT Coupler), provides quick connection to a variety of Cat attachments, boosting its versatility.
