The Jackson County, Michigan, Sheriff's Office has a new patrol vehicle design, voted on by Facebook users in July. It consists of large white lettering and the sheriff’s logo on a black vehicle.

On June 29, the Sheriff’s Office released five vehicle designs on its Facebook page, asking for public input. The winner also won the departmental vote, and in late July, the office announced it would transition all new vehicles to this design. The design is also hundreds of dollars cheaper than the previous design.

As of late September, two patrol vehicles with the new design are in use out of 25. The Sheriff’s Office purchases about five new vehicles each year, MLive reported.
