Grasshopper introduces its True ZeroTurn FrontMount mode, the 725DT. This mower features a liquid-cooled, 25-hp MaxTorque diesel engine, commercial-grade construction with the company’s Ultimate Suspension Ride for operator comfort, and QuikConverter implement capability for year-round productivity. The MaxTorque diesel engine in the 725DT Tier is 4i-compliant.

The mower’s T6 hydrostatic transmission, co-developed by Grasshopper and Parker and coupled directly to the engine automotive-style, offers redefined input and output to produce power efficiently. The T-Drive eliminates the need for drive belts, sheaves, idler arms, spring-tension pulleys and associated hardware, while tandem pumps are wholly contained in CoolTemp HydroMax oil reservoir with self-contained fine-particulate filtration. No external oil reservoir is needed outside the transmission itself, eliminating oil lines to any external filtration or reservoir system. The design also requires less fluid and features a lower cost of maintenance, according to the company.

The AntiVibe Power Platform mounts the engine, transmission, rear PTO shaft, and all rotating and drive components onto a separate pallet, iso-mounted to the main frame. This Grasshopper design harnesses the torque and power of the diesel engine more efficiently to the cutting deck or implement, providing a vibration-free experience for the operator, the company stated.

The DuraMax mowing decks, up to 72-inch widths, accept the industry-exclusive, patented PowerFold electric deck lift that controls variable cutting heights and raises the deck nearly vertical for under deck access and compact storage and transport.
