2016 Fleet Technology Expo in Pictures

The 2016 Fleet Technology Expo (FTX) gave fleet managers and stakeholders speakers and a ride and drive. Attendees had the opportunity to network and learn about the latest equipment and technology in the exhibit hall. Data is derived the U.S. General Services Administration's FY-2015 Federal Fleet Report. The GSA gathers this information from federal agencies reporting motor vehicle fleet data.

Refuse truck age increased slightly while police vehicles and dump truck age decreased slightly in comparison to statistics from last year (which averaged 2012-2014 data).

The data in this gallery, collected from 20 of Utilimarc's municipal benchmarking clients (cities, states, and counties) includes average vehicle age, mileage, maintenance cost, labor hours, and fuel economy.

This chart shows a profile of survey respondents and the public entities for which they work. The “City” category includes villages and towns. “Other” includes port authorities, transit, and fire districts.

2016 Benchmarking Statistics

Data collected from Government Fleet from its survey this year suggests a slight increase in average fleet size in comparison to the prior year. In addition, a higher percentage of respondents said their annual budgets had increased, a trend continuing since 2013, when this question was first asked.
