A Georgia city manager used an unmarked police vehicle multiple times to move personal belongings to his second home, among other misuses of government property, a FOX 5 I-Team investigation found.

Riverdale City Manager Scott Wood admitted to using the police vehicle for personal errands after he was caught on video doing so.

Wood said his contract authorizes him to use any city vehicle, anywhere in the state of Georgia. However, his contract actually states it allows “exclusive use at all times… an automobile provided to him by the City.” His alloted vehicle is a Ford Fusion.

The investigation also found Wood used the police department’s evidence storage bay to house personal belongings.
