The City of St. Paul, Minn., is accepting applications for a fleet manager who will be responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing, monitoring, and managing a comprehensive fleet management program. This program would include the city's fleet assets as well as outside agencies that have agreements for fleet services.

The fleet manager is responsible for making equipment management decisions based on a long-term asset management strategy, will report to the Director of Financial Services, and will work closely with management in the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field and 10 years of increasingly responsible management and administration work. At least three of these years must be in a managerial capacity, and must have managed effectively in a union environment. Candidates may also substitute the required education with a combined 14 years of experience.
