Fleet Mechanics Fired for Working on Private Vehicles

Two Howard County (Ind.) Highway Department employees were fired for working on non-county vehicles during work hours, reports the Kokomo Tribune.

Charges are expected to be filed against Brian Nation and Chris Hawkins, two mechanics for the department. An investigation found that the mechanics worked on private vehicles during work hours and received compensation from some of the vehicle owners.
