GFO Oil LLC has appointed Michael Parks as its chief executive officer, a move that's effective June 30, according to the company. Parks plans to lead the company in its goal of cutting fleet operation costs.

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to lead GFO, a company that will soon introduce to the transportation industry a transformational new product that will help trim much needed costs from fleet operations," said Parks.

Parks brings 35 years of experience in fleet maintenance to the position, and while he will oversee all of the company’s businesses, his emphasis will be on the business development efforts aimed at large commercial fleets.

Before joining GFO Parks led maintenance operations at Kelley Amerit Fleet Solutions where he was responsible for 130,000 vehicles and 385 locations.
