Sales of fleet vehicles to government agencies fell 13.6% to 25,341 units in June, according to data from Automotive Fleet.

The nine manufacturers who report sales to government fleets continue to rely on trucks, vans, and SUVs with 16,209 sold in that category during the month for a 2.3% gain from June of 2014. Sales of passenger cars fell 41.7% to 5,320 units.

For the first six months of 2015, government fleet sales have fallen 8.9% to 114,126 units from the same period in 2014. Trucks, vans, and SUVs have increased 1.4% to 90,397 year-to-date and passenger cars have fallen 34.4% to 23,729 year to date.
