Two Illinois villages have been unable to obtain insurance for their fleet vehicles due to their trouble financial history and debts from civil judgments.
Washington Park and Brooklyn villages in southern Illinois are running the risk of being sued if one of their fleet vehicles is involved in an accident. The village doesn't have insurance because "no one will write it," a village attorney told KMOV.
