The City of Cincinnati has struggled to sell off a $350,000 compressed natural gas (CNG) refuse truck that it purchased in 2013 and couldn't use, after a deal to sell the vehicles to the City of Lexington, Ky., fell through.
The city's Public Services Department paid $356,787 for the vehicle and later realized it couldn't use the truck because the city has no way of fueling it, it's too big for most streets, and the city doesn't have the infrastructure in place to use its automated features, reports Fox News.
On Dec. 10, 2013, the City Council voted to sell the truck to Lexington for $250,000, but that deal collapsed after the Kentucky municipality found out one of the warranties on the truck wouldn't transfer.
