The City of Lansing (Mich.) Fire Department has spent $2 million for a new fleet of emergency vehicles to replace its older emergency vehicles, the city announced last week.
This week, the city will place into service four fire trucks, an ambulance, and a command car. The new trucks include technology that links them directly to the 911 emergency call system.
Funding for the vehicles came from the department’s budget.
