Ram Trucks will offer the Ram Cargo Van alongside the ProMaster full-size van during the initial roll-out of the ProMaster and phase out its commercial minivan at a future date, a Ram spokesman said.

Ram rolled out its initial 2014 ProMaster in October as a North American version of the Fiat Ducato. Ram also plans to introduce the 2015 ProMaster City, a North American version of the Fiat Doblo, in the compact van category.

As a result, the Ram C/V Tradesman cargo van will eventually be discontinued, said Nick Cappa, a Ram spokesman.

"Yes, they will coexist in our lineup," Cappa said. "The ProMaster City will eventually replace the Ram C/V."

In recent year's C/V models, Ram has added several features to the commercial version of the Grand Caravan, including improved security and a load floor, Cappa said.
