Lafayette Consolidated Government, the governing authority for Lafayette Parish in Louisiana, has selected AssetWorks’ flagship fleet management software solution ― FleetFocus ― to manage all aspects of its fleet.

Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) serves the City of Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish. To provide services for the region, LCG maintains a fleet of 1,500 vehicles and equipment including light- and heavy-duty vehicles, buses, fire trucks, armored vehicles, recreational vehicles, and various motorized and nonmotorized equipment. The Fleet Management division performs preventive and incidental maintenance; provides fueling operations, including an expansion of their CNG program; and manages the acquisition, disposal, and lifecycle costs of these assets. Fleet Management bills back to internal departments, as well as a few external agencies, for these services.

AssetWorks fleet management software can help the county, or parish as it is called in Louisiana, improve their overall efficiency throughout the entire organization. The increased access to data can help improve customer service, expedite maintenance service, and increase staff efficiency and productivity. FleetFocus provides complete, real-time data that can maximize the availability and usage of fleet resources. Additionally, as the organization grows and changes, FleetFocus can provide the flexibility to adapt to any new informational needs and workflow.

“AssetWorks fleet management software can help us improve how we manage and maintain our diverse fleet,” stated Project Manager Sheila Barber, Information Technology, “In doing so, we keep our commitment to the residents who live in our area and rely on our services. After a careful review of several options, we selected AssetWorks because of their functionality and experience. We look forward to partnering with AssetWorks on this project.”

AssetWorks’ proven fleet management software is used by more than 200 cities and counties in North America, including 17 of the 50 biggest counties and 35 of the 50 biggest cities.
