Ford's 2014 Transit Connect compact van achieved 30 miles per gallon highway in ratings released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency earlier this week.

The Transit Connect also achieved 22 mpg city and 25 mpg combined, when equipped with Ford's optional 1.6L EcoBoost engine. The Transit Connect arrives standard with a 2.5L inline four carrying an EPA rating of 29 mpg highway, 21 mpg city, and 24 mpg combined.

The 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon arrived at dealer showrooms in January.

The Transit Connect will compete in the compact van segment against the Nissan NV200, 2015 Chevrolet City Express, and 2015 Ram ProMaster City, which is expected to unveiled this week at the Chicago Auto Show.
