The City of Santa Ana, Calif., recently leased two Nissan Leaf electric vehicles to add to its fleet. The vehicles replace two Impalas assigned to the City Manager’s Office and the Planning and Building Agency.

According to Rick Longobart, facilities, fleet, and stores manager, the Leaf is “the best built vehicle…at the most competitive pricing.” The vehicles cost $27,000. The lease term is for five years.

The City expects the vehicles to be delivered within four months.
