The Scotland County, N.C., Sheriff’s received eight brand new, decaled patrol vehicles from a local Ford dealership earlier this month—but officials are saying they never purchased the vehicles, according to The Laurinburg Exchange.

The County Board of Commissioners has yet to vote on the purchase of seven vehicles (rather than eight). The cars came equipped with cameras and are financed at a much higher rate than the City thinks it can get, the news source stated. Officials will attempt to negotiate with the dealership for the vehicles.
