Lee County Sheriff Converts 10 Crown Vics to Propane Autogas

OPELIKA, AL – Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama recently switched 10 Ford Crown Victorias to run on propane autogas. Alliance Autogas helped the Sheriff’s Department with the conversion, under the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program, according to a release from Alliance Autogas.

Congressman Mike Rogers from the 3rd District in Alabama test drove a bi-fuel propane autogas fleet vehicle on Sept. 18. Propane autogas is powering Alabama government vehicles such as the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industry, Alabama State Docks, the City of Mobile, and the City of Vestavia Hills.
