LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Times reported that the city council for the City of Los Angeles agreed to pay $6.6 million to the family of a woman killed by a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) patrol car.

The Times said this is the largest amount the City has ever paid for a police-related collision. According to the article, the LAPD announced plans this year to improve how it investigates “serious” crashes.
