MARSHALL, TX – Harrison County in Texas is looking to purchase compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles after learning that a natural gas company plans to build a station near the County’s base of operations, and that it would be available for County use, according to the News-Journal.

County Commissioners will apply for an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant to cover the increased cost of three CNG dump trucks to replace smaller, aging diesel trucks. The Count expects to cut fuel costs by one half through use of CNG.
