MANASSAS, VA – The City of Manassas, Va., purchased a new Chevrolet Volt as part of the City’s goal to make 10% of its fleet consist of “clean” vehicles by 2020. Currently, 3% of the City’s fleet has alternative-fuel vehicles, out a total of 450 fleet assets.

In 2012, the City plans to install five electric vehicle charging stations around the City. Manassas received a federal grant through the U.S. Department of Energy (via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act).
