UMass Says Fleet Vehicles are Well Managed

AMHERST, MA - Fleet staff at the University of Massachusetts Amherst say the University's 737 fleet vehicles are well-managed and improper use is rare, according to The Republican. The response is a result of inquiries questioning the legitimacy of state vehicles parked in uncommon locations.

Fleet staff gave examples as to when and why a vehicle might be taken home or parked in various areas, and the article further reports on fleet practices such as fuel purchase tracking, fleet size reduction, and departmental oversight over the vehicles.
