SANTA FE, NM – New Mexico’s Governor Susana Martinez released an update on efforts to cut costs, one of which was reducing the size of the State’s fleet.

Since January, the State has cut 253 vehicles, which includes a 56% reduction in take-home vehicles at the State’s Department of Transportation. In addition, the governor said a moratorium on new vehicle purchases, with the exception of law enforcement vehicles, remains in place.
