LAS CRUCES, NM - Dona Ana County Board of Supervisors approved August 23 a competitive sealed bid for the construction of a new maintenance facility.

The County currently has two facilities, one for the Sheriff's Office and one for all other vehicles. The new facility will replace the general maintenance facility, but should also be able to take in excess work the other facility, according to Jess Williams, director of public information for the County.

Plans for construction have not yet been revealed.

The Las-Cruces Sun News reported the project will cost $3.37 million.
