August 26, 2011

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) will hold its 2011 RMFMA Conference & Expo on Oct. 4-7 at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz. This conference focuses on Fleet Strategies for Success. The conference agenda emphasizes managing fleet operations during tough economic times and will contain educational sessions for all fleet professionals from the director of fleet operations to the technician who turns the wrench.

Hundreds of fleet professionals, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers from around the country routinely attend this event. Diverse exhibitors range from parts suppliers and tool manufacturers to mobile solutions and vehicle and truck manufacturers. The Expo is more than three acres and showcases the latest in technology, vehicles, and software solutions.

This conference includes all scheduled events such as a networking dinner at Rosa's Ranch and, in a first for the Association, a kart driving challenge on the evening of Oct. 6 for conference participants.

Highlights of 2011 RMFMA Conference & Expo include:

  • Mike Corbett of Spectrum Consulting presenting "Running Your Fleet as a Business." This session will discuss best practices, best business models, and performance measures used to develop both market and customer-driven fleet programs.
  • OEM and vendor training on alternate fuels, hybrid/electric drive technology, solid waste trucks, aerial equipment, off-road construction equipment, and sub-system component training.
  • On Oct. 7, attendees can test for the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) and Certified Automotive Fleet Supervisor (CAFS) programs in conjunction with the Center for Professional Fleet Certification. AssetWorks will also be offering training on its FleetFocus fleet management software.

Registration fees are $399 for members and $499 for non-members. Sponsors of this year's event include FASTER Asset Solutions, Empire Caterpillar, General Motors, AssetWorks, Auto Safety House, Rodeo Ford, and Allison Transmission.
