HIALEAH, FL – Facing a $5M budget gap, the City of Hialeah is eyeing its take-home vehicle policy in an effort to save taxpayer dollars, according to an article in the Miami Herald.

City funds currently pay for 200 vehicles, and Hialeah’s Mayor Carlos Hernandez has asked all City department heads to review employee use of take-home vehicles to determine whether they are necessary.
