DOVER, DE – The state of Delaware has auctioned off nearly 200 state vehicles in its efforts to cut the state's 4,900-unit fleet by 20 percent, according to The News Journal. Governor Jack Markell ordered the fleet reduction.

More than $519,000 has been raised as a result of selling 197 vehicles so far. Officials expect to downsize the fleet to 3,920 units, reported the Journal.
