ATLANTA – Steve Saltzgiver has been named fleet director for the State of Georgia, headquartered in Atlanta. Most recently executive director for the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) and consultant with Mercury Associates, Saltzgiver served as fleet director for the State of Utah for 12 years.

In his new position, Saltzgiver is responsible for administrative oversight of the State of Georgia’s fleet management system, decentralized 21,000-vehicle fleet, policy, and contract services. Among his first tasks, said Satzgiver, will be “establishing several new metrics to track high-level activities” as part of a longer-term fleet operation re-engineering.
