LAS VEGAS –The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) recognized excellence in fleet management and industry service at the recent RMFMA Fleet Management Conference & Equipment Show in Las Vegas.

Those honored include Fleet Professional of the Year, Israel Garza, Salt River Project, Phoenix, Ariz.; Outstanding Associate of the Year, Rudy Garcia, Auto Safety House; and Outstanding Member of the Year, Charlie Johnson, City of Peoria, AZ.

Fleet Professional of the Year: This award is granted each year to a fleet professional that has contributed to excellence and innovation in the management or operation of their fleet. Garza was recognized for his involvement in creation of a Green Fleet Plan for the Salt River Project in Phoenix. The program encourages conservation, broad resource management, and sustainability.

Outstanding Associate of the Year: Garcia was recognized for his continuous support of education programming and membership growth. ASH was the number one associate recruiter for the Arizona Chapter. Garcia is always looking for innovative ways to assist the RMFMA and contribute to the overall education of fleet personnel.

Outstanding Member of the Year: This award is granted to a member that has distinguished themselves through their contributions and support of the goals of the association. The moment Johnson joined the organization, he began volunteering. He tackled numerous unfinished projects and took them to completion in a thoughtful, professional manner. Johnson’s most visible accomplishment has been the development of an outstanding e-mail communication tool for his chapter and the association.
