DENVER– Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputies recently reported a gas thief that stole about 400 gallons of gasoline out of a fleet of delivery trucks.

An employee of Distinctive Tent rental told deputies that two of their trucks all of a sudden ran out of gas while making deliveries. Employees checked the other fleet vehicles and found their tanks empty, said Grayson Robinson of the Arapahoe County sheriff’s office, according to www.TheDenverChannel.com.

“Security cameras recorded a white Ford flat-bed truck with barrels on the bed being driven in the area of the company fleet as suspects siphoned gas from the delivery trucks,” Robinson said.

The owner of the company reported the stolen gas was worth about $1,250.
