NEW JERSEY– Alan Binstein, director of Logistical Services for The University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), has taken on more responsibility. Binstein started out 10 years ago as the assistant coordinator of Transportation with seven employees and 150 vehicles.

 

Today, Binstein manages 109 employees and 386 vehicles statewide. UMDNJ’s fleet consists of ambulances, police cars, rescue trucks, pickup trucks, vans, sedans, and buses. In addition to Fleet Services, Binstein is in charge of University Hospital Linen & Uniform Services, Receiving, The Supply Center, Mail Services, & Patient Transportation on five campuses throughout New Jersey.
