NAMPA, IDAHO – The Nampa Police Department has gone green. Effective Saturday, its entire 118-vehicle fleet is operating on ethanol-based fuels. Most patrol cars will be using a 10-percent ethanol blend, but five cars will run on an 85-percent blend, according to the Web site www.fox12news.com.

The department expects that all 2008 model patrol cars it buys will be E-85 certified.
