LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ – City vehicles in Lake Havasu City may soon be running on biodiesel, a vegetable-based fuel that burns cleaner than traditional diesel fuel, according to the Web site www.kold.com.

It would cost about 12 cents a gallon to switch the city’s cars to biodiesel, and the total cost of conversion would be $12,000 per year.

In Tucson, the city government, the local utility company and Davis Monthan Air Force base are among those using the alternative fuel.
