July 5, 2007

IRVINE, CA – Kia Motors America (KMA) has donated two vehicles, a 2007 Sedona minivan and 2007 Sorento SUV, to the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), respectively, during a ceremony held at KMA’s new corporate headquarters. Irvine Chief of Police David Maggard, Jr. and OCFA Assistant Fire Chief, Support Services Jerry Hunter were present to accept the vehicles.

The Irvine Police Department will use the Sedona as a recruiting vehicle, driving it to events, colleges, and recruiting fairs, while the Sorento will be painted red by the OCFA and used to promote fire awareness throughout Orange County.
