SEATTLE – WestStart and the U.S. Army National Automotive Center (NAC) are holding the 7th Hybrid Truck Users Forum (HTUF) National Meeting Sept. 19–21 in Seattle, Wash. PACCAR, Inc., parent to Peterbilt and Kenworth truck companies, will serve as the host for the two-and-a-half-day meeting, focused on truck user needs, hands-on knowledge, and joint action.

The meeting focuses on HTUF’s activities to speed the commercial use of medium- and heavy-duty hybrid trucks. HTUF works to assist truck users, truck makers, and truck suppliers to move to early commercial manufacturing and deployment of hybrids in key applications based on common specifications. This year’s meeting will feature:
  • Briefings on the latest commercial & military hybrid trucks and testing results.
  • First-hand data on pre-production commercial launches of heavy-duty hybrids.
  • Updates on HTUF’s fleet-user led hybrid Working Group activities and progress.
  • Enhanced and expanded heavy-duty hybrid ride-and-drive.
  • Hands-on access to heavy-duty hybrid vehicles and much more, including user-only meeting times and ample opportunities for networking with truck industry leaders.
  • Interactive panel discussion on the hybrid truck market and business case.
