LONDON, UK – The UK Road Haulage Association (RHA) said that truckers traveling inBelgium should beware of the way the country is enforcing EU rules for digital tachographs, according to Transport News Briefs. There, a trucker must carry a paper printout of any driving record from a truck with a digital tachograph, for any journey he has done in the past 15 days.

“No problem if the truck has a digital tacho. But, if he’s switched to a truck with an analogue tacho, he can’t print out a record on the spot. One of our member’s drivers was fined because he was caught like this,” said Peter Cullum, head of international affairs for the RHA, as quoted by Transport News Briefs. “He had tacho charts and his driver’s card, enough to satisfy UK authorities.”
