TEL AVIV – Most accidents involving cars leased by high-tech companies to their employees take place after work hours and while driven by employees’ family members, according to the Web site www.haaretz.com. The most dangerous day of the week for accidents is Sunday; 20 percent of all accidents occurred on Sunday between 4 and 8 p.m.
The accident data was collected as part of a study by a forum composed of some 30 high-tech companies. Some 5,000 leased vehicles from Intel, Matrix, Nice, and Motorola were sampled during the study. In addition, the research analyzed 875 accidents that occurred in the first six months of 2006 and involved vehicles from those companies.
