MADISON, SD – Lake County Sheriff Roger Hartman has presented Lake County Commissioners with an annual plan for purchasing patrol vehicles, as well as a request for a server for backup of computer files, according to the Madison Daily Leader newspaper. The Sheriff’s Office currently has five patrol vehicles, ranging from 2003 to 2008. Hartman said that purchasing a new patrol vehicle each year would allow the department to consistently replace vehicles and keep maintenance costs to a minimum.
