CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – City of Corpus Christi, employees showed their savvy behind the wheel at the Annual Vehicle Safety “Roadeo” Contest, according to the Corpus Christi Caller Times,. Employees driving in the contest, held by the City’s Risk Management Office and Safety Advisory Board, were awarded points based on how well they could carefully navigate City vehicles around series of cones.

Six obstacle courses were available in nine categories including full-size sedan, police sedan, VIP sedan, pickup truck, dump truck, flatbed truck, refuse truck, fire truck, and backhoe. Participants had to meet specific requirements, such as not having a preventable vehicle accident or moving vehicle citations during the past 12 months.
