FITCHBURG, MA – Chevin Fleet Solutions has extended the capabilities of its Web-based fleet management information system, FleetWave, to enable real-time remote input of business critical fleet information. Utilizing any wireless device with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, drivers, supervisors, mechanics, or any authorized individual can remotely update vehicle safety inspections, trip details, personal and/or business mileage, as well as complete accident details.

Leveraging FleetWave’s flexible architecture, drivers can utilize their PDA or Smartphone to perform vehicle circle inspections, notifying supervisors or shop personnel of any safety-related defects, while maintaining and displaying inspection histories. Supporting FleetWave’s integrated personal and business mileage management tools, drivers can capture, maintain, and report their daily, weekly, or monthly mileages, as well as fleet-related expenses directly from their PDA or Smartphone. With this flexible technology, drivers can capture and report comprehensive accident and incident details while in the field, allowing drivers to more accurately document all pertinent information to insure correct and timely reporting.

Using standard FleetWave development tools, Chevin can quickly and easily create and deploy customer-specific remote management functionality to any Windows enabled device.
