BLOOMINGDALE, MI – The collapse of the Village of Bloomingdale public works building over the weekend of Dec. 9-10 damaged several village vehicles inside and severed some natural-gas lines, according to The Kalamazoo Gazette newspaper.

``We’re lucky that we didn’t have an explosion or anything like that,’’ said Village President George ``Sam’’ Ewbank, as quoted in The Kalamazoo Gazette. No one was hurt.
