Pierce Manufacturing Unveils New Fire Truck With New Features

September 19, 2006

APPLETON, WI – Pierce Manufacturing Company unveiled its new truck at the International Association of Fire Chiefs 2006 convention in Dallas, according to the Associated Press. The truck is the biggest product launch ever for the 93-year-old company.

Pierce executives say they spent three years working with firefighters and truck dealers to figure out a “wish list” of what they wanted in a vehicle. Pierce product development director Mike Moore said they wanted a safer truck, more room inside the cab, better visibility, and easier maintenance.
