PEORIA, AZ -- The City of Peoria, Ariz., implemented a biodiesel program this week as part of the City's clean air program.

The City's use of B-20 will replace approximately 30,000 gallons of regular diesel fuel each year. "The City looks forward to working with local suppliers to help grow the biodiesel industry in the state of Arizona," said Warren Laing, fleet services manager for the City of Peoria. "While the City will use B-20 in all diesel vehicles, the use of B-20 in the sanitation fleet alone will greatly help to reduce air pollution during daily refuse pickups. We look forward to doing our part to clean up the air in the Maricopa County area by introducing other alternative fuels in the near future," said Laing.
